✨ NEW! Chickpea Curry Soup + Oden!

Hi there Reader --

I’ve been cooking lots of cozy dishes lately, and I want to share a few with you today!

Chickpeas are one of my favorite beans, and I always keep some stocked in the freezer. This chikpea curry soup is perfect for those moments when you need just one more easy, nourishing dish.

I also made a new video about Oden! Oden is a classic winter dish, perfect for cold days. It’s so comforting that I’ve been making it every week!

💌 My Personal Note

Today I want to share my favorite ice cream — Yukimi Daifuku! It’s soft, chewy mochi on the outside with creamy vanilla ice cream inside, and the size is just perfect. I’ve loved it since I was a kid, and now my daughter enjoys it too. If you spot it at a Japanese supermarket, definitely give it a try!

Thanks for reading. Matane またね!

It’s a simple, cozy bowl of soba noodles enjoyed on New Year’s Eve. Toshikoshi means “crossing over” from one year to the next. The long noodles symbolize a long, healthy life, and the warm broth is such a peaceful, comforting way to end the year. Our Toshikoshi Soba for 2025!
